Grasspaw woke up around sunhigh. He had gone to the Moonstone last night and been accepted as a medicine cat apprentice. Now he got up and stretched before going into the medicine den and looking for Branchear.

Branchear came into the camp with a jaw full of herbs. Instantly she headed for the medicine den and found Grasspaw. Dropping the herbs she said, "Looking for me?"

Grasspaw gave a little nod. "Yes. Can we start any training now?" He quickly asked.

Redfoot slowly got up and hauled herself out of the nursery to sit in the early sun.

Branchear looked around and saw Redfoot. "Why don't you go ask her if she would like any herbs or if she has any pains. Then I can show you what to use."

Grasspaw smiled then hurried over to the queen. "Good morning Redfoot. Is there anything you would like me to do for you? Do you have any pains?"

Redfoot looked up and him from the ground. "Hmmm... Well I have been having back pains. Do you think you will have anything for that?"

Branchear beckoned Grasspaw over with her tail.

Grasspaw nodded then trotted over to Branchear. "Back pain. What herb do we use for that?"

Redfoot closed her eyes and waited for Grasspaw to come back.

Branchear looked at the herbs they had. "Can you pick out a dandelion leaf? The flower is yellow." She replied.

Grasspaw thought for a moment then nodded. Looking through the store of herbs he finally found it and plucked a leaf. That was easy. I wonder if my guardian was helping me. "Now what do I do with it?"

"Go chew it up and rub it on her back where it hurts." Branchear meowed.

"Okay." Grasspaw replied, "You know I haven't known either of you for very long but you both act similar and are really nice and sweet and gently." Then he dashed off to Redfoot. "Hold still please." He said as he put the leaf in his mouth and began chewing.

Redfoot nodded. "Okay." She meowed with a smile.

Branchear watched him but couldn't help thinking hard about what he had just said. No, no. I am a SkyClan cat. Just pure coincidence.

Grasspaw spit the chewed up leaf into his paws and began rubbing it onto Redfoot's back. "How does that feel?"

Redffot nodded. "Just great. I feel better already. You must know a lot about herbs and curing cats don't you." She praised.

Branchear purred a little when she heard the comment. "Okay. That should be good Grasspaw."

"Okay!" Grasspaw called to her then ran over. "You two seem like you could be related." He commented, "So what are we going to do first?"

Redfoot tensed when she heard what he had said. He can't find out. No cat can except me, Grayfang, and Juncokit!

"Well we are going to sort and organize herbs." Branchear finally replied.

Grasspaw nodded before dashing into the den. He started passing out piles of herbs.

Redffot pushed herself up and, after shooting one more sorrowful and secretive glance at Branchear and Grasspaw, went into the nursery.
